Pool DoctoRx’s Preparation and Application
We examine your current plaster condition, existing delamination, and cracks or voids to ensure their suitability for application in this specialized coating process. If appropriate for your pool and its condition, Pool DoctoRx will remove delamination followed by a second abrasive material to ensure proper epoxy adhesion to your existing surface. Lastly, Pool DoctoRx will apply several coats of specialized surface coating to ensure uniformity. Note: If delamination is excessive, you may require media blasting or traditional chipping and sealing in lieu of surface coating.
Limitations and Exclusions
- Cannot be applied over existing water based or chlorinated rubber coating.
- Requires on-site inspection to determine suitability for surface coating.
- Warranty is limited to material only.

Rejuvenate Package: Resurfacing Existing Plaster
- Ultra high-pressure water is used to remove any old coatings or loose plaster.
- The surface is then acid washed to ensure a water impermeable bond coating adherence.
- Once clean and dry, new plaster is applied to the existing surface.
This process is faster than chipping but cannot prevent further delamination if existing plaster fails below the surface. The new plaster may fail prematurely and is not warranted if shown to be surface delamination. However, if the plaster is suitable for media blasting, new plaster should adhere appropriately to the pool surface.
